Agricultural Projects & Practices Cropland Water Savings
The CREP acres enrolled in Jefferson, Madison, and Bonneville Counties aid in reducing consumptive use of groundwater on cropland in the Eastern Snake River Plain. ISWCC staff work with each participant to prepare conservation and seeding plans for establishing and maintaining conservation cover for the 15 year contract period. This area includes Jefferson and Madison Conservation Districts.
In FY 2019, there are 26 active contracts on 1,964 acres.

Key Accomplishments/expenditures are cumulative amounts. See the aggregated CREP project listed under "Conservation Reserve Enhancement Aggregated from 2006 – 2019 (CREP)" for a breakdown of all program funding.
