Cropland Water Savings
The CREP acres enrolled in Jerome and Twin Falls County aid in reducing consumptive use of groundwater on cropland in the Eastern Snake River Plain. This area includes contracts residing in the North Side and Twin Falls CD.
ISWCC staff work with each participant to prepare conservation and seeding plans for establishing and maintaining conservation cover for the 15 year contract period.
In FY 2019, there are currently 7 active contracts on 668 acres.
Key Accomplishments/expenditures are cumulative amounts for Jerome and Twin Falls County. See aggregated CREP project listed under "Conservation Reserve Enhancement Aggregated from 2006 – 2019 (CREP)" for a breakdown of all program funding.
